What is the best auto mount for a Garmin GPS in a Prius?
Must meet California Vehicle Code. That means it cannot be mounted on top of the dash or windshield.
Check Ram mounts.
Whats the best mount for a garmin that does not attach to the front window?
Looking to buy a friction mount or something of that nature that will sit on the dash. Probably will end up buying a brand name one off of eBay.

which gps mount is better?
I have a Garmin streetpilot c340 and it came with a windshield mount. The GPS is old and it is big and heavy but works good, but since its big and old the windshield mount doesn't always hold it up. A lot of times when I am driving it keeps on falling
well a trick that i and other ppl that do a bit of offroading use is to put a couple drops of super glue or other glue onto the suction cup b4 sticking it to the windshield....
** u can still remove the mount later and use a razor
