Depends on what you want it for. The E1L is going to give you less light, but much longer run time.
What is the best Surefire Flashlight for the money?
I'd like to stay under $70, and have it be able to work with one of their Red Filters. That has to be one of these models: E1E, E2E, E2O, E2D, Z2, C2, C3, G2Z, G2, 6P, 9P, M2, U2, M3, 9AN, M3T, M4, M6.

Does Surefire make red filters to fit the G2? The G2 and G3 are under $70 and I believe the E1 starts at $129, the super blinding M6 is $425. Also there are G2 and G3 LED versions with much better battery life. The Surefire 2xCR123 incandescent units
