I have just bought a Tomtom Go 740 Sat Nav?

Useing Bluetooth I sound loud & clear to the person I am talking to however they sound very faint to me. I have looked through all the Tomtom info to no avail is this a faulty unit or have I missed something?The Tomtom voice commands are fine.

Which one is more helpful for real navigation, TomTom go 740 or Garmin 1690?

Hi,
I wanted to know which GPS navigators are more reliable for navigation inside the USA : TomTom go 740 or Garmin 1690. I just wanna find places fast and correct.

I have used Garmin GPS navigators almost exclusively for the past 8-10 years. I've always had good luck with them. Right now, I have four of them in four different vehicles, including my commercial trucks, car and motorcycle.

If the route on a TomTom is cleared, will it still warn of speed cameras?

I am considering getting a new TomTom 740 and want to take advantage of its speed camera warnings when I am on a route a know fairly well. Will the TomTom still warn me of speed cameras when there is no route entered into it?

Yes

And it will also tell you about ones near to you on adjacent roads as it does not know where you are going to turn if no route is entered.
